Sex has not changed but the way youth express themselves sexually certainly has. There has been a need for a new form of sex ed to bridge the gap between new forms of communication and good old facts – this is where LaidtheBook.com/blog comes to the rescue.

This blog is the collective journal of a group of young people who are fully immersed in today’s changing world. Here we will explore our own sexuality while questioning every contemporary ad/ music video/ TV show/ book/ article that deals with sex or sexuality.

We challenge our reader to not only learn to disect and filter through the thousands of sexual messages spewed at us each day but to also help us create our own message. And what exactly is our message? We are ready for the raw, honest truth about sex. We are tired of the media lying to us about sex and exhausted of our elders pleading with us to ignore our sexuality. We want the truth, we want the facts, we want to be entertained and we want our sexuality to be a place of pride not confusion.

This blog is our ship, we hope you visit often and help to propell us on our journey. If you are interested in becoming a contributor to this blog we welcome youth of all kind (under 30), please e-mail info@laidthebook.com.

This blog is also a place where you can learn about Laid: Young People’s Experience with Sex in an Easy-Access Culture.
